Lex Concepcion

If you know Coach Lex, he is always training and coaching in the gym. If he is not competing in leagues throughout Virginia or watching game film with players, he is working with middle school, high school, college, and pro players in the DC metro area. He has been able to pass down his experience and training techniques as a skill coach with Drew Hanlen and Pure Sweat Basketball. Coach Lex has worked out with pro players such as, Jason Tatum, Deni Avdija, Frank Mason, Semi Ojeleye, Abdulai Bundu, and Seth Allen, to name a few. Also, he has worked out with local college players like Colin Smalls, Jordan Hairston, Aurea Gingras, Katie Benzan, and many more. Through his passion, his purpose is to help players by providing them with the skills needed to improve their game.

Coach Lex believes:

  • “If you have fun with the hard work, then the work doesn’t seem so hard when you are having fun.”
  • “Concentrate on the details and you will find everything you need to succeed.”
  • “If you are not having fun. You are probably not doing the drill right.”
  • “Confidence starts with knowing you have done more quality reps than your opponent.”
