Travel Team
Shots up basketball supports an affiliate organization of boys and girls year-round travel teams (grades 4 through 12) under the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S. We welcome new players, coaches, and teams. Please check back for our attractive team packages offered within the Shots Up Organization.

About Us
Shots Up Basketball offers elementary, middle, and high school boys and girls in grades 1st through Varsity a variety of opportunities to compete and grow. Our leagues and tournaments are the heart of what we do, giving players the chance to compete throughout the year in a safe, well-organized environment with certified referees and experienced staff.
Alongside our competitive play, our training programs, camps, and clinics help players sharpen their skills, while our travel teams offer year-round opportunities for those looking to take their game further.
Our commitment is to instill confidence on and off the court, strong work ethic, and a deeper knowledge of the game through consistent competition.

Coach Chris Woodhall
Chris Woodhall has been in the basketball industry for almost 20 years. He developed a passion for basketball in middle school, which drove him to training and coaching young athletes across the DMV region. In 2008, Chris co-founded DMV Finest, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) organization, and went on to serve as Assistant Coach for Mount Vernon HS and South County HS, dedicating his time to developing high school athletes.
Today, Chris Woodhall is the Founder and Owner of Shots Up Basketball, an AAU organization based in Alexandria, VA that hosts competitive leagues and tournaments for boys and girls in grades 1st through Varsity across the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas.
Alongside its league and tournament play, Shots Up also offers training programs, camps, and clinics built around shooting repetition to promote shot consistency and build muscle memory — helping players develop the skills and confidence to compete at every level.
